Whether you're a seasoned pro or showing your Tiger for the first time, our goal is to provide a high-quality, judged concours for this unique mark. Remember, the organizers and judges are volunteers here to enjoy the event too. Please review the concours information below before the event.

Concours Staging and Presentation Instructions
When you arrive at the Seaside City Hall lawn follow instructions to stage your car with the appropriate class (e.g. Stock, Personalized, Modified). You will be given your judging sheets. Please enter your name and registration number on each page of the judging sheets and place them under your wiper blade. It is important to put your name and registration number ON EVERY PAGE.
As a judged concourse, your car should be presented in a clean condition ready for judging. Cars that have not even been washed will not be judged. The mechanical checks will be done at the start of the concours, so please remain with your car until these checks have been completed. Judges inspecting your car’s exterior will need to close both the hood and trunk. It is your choice if you want to stay with your car to perform these tasks.
Your car should be presented for judging in the following manner:
- Hood (Bonnet) up
- Trunk lids up
- Trunk cover board up, if applicable
- Soft top up or hardtop on, if applicable
- Door windows up
- Glove box empty
- Console unlocked, only registration etc. included
- Tool kit should be on display, open on spare tire
- Shop manual, owner’s manual and warranty book should be displayed in trunk
While stuffed animals and previous trophies may be important to and your Tiger, these items are not being judged, so PLEASE have them removed from your car and away from the display area when judging begins. Your Tiger is being judged as it appears today, not on its past merits.
Judging
Due to the number of classes and judging categories within each class, we need a lot of judges. So, if you are entered in the concours, you have an automatic obligation to also be a judge if needed. You do not need to be an “expert” to be a judge; any enthusiast is qualified. However, we hope for everyone’s support. Without an adequate number of judges, we cannot fairly judge the entrants.
Judges within each class will have specific assignments such as paint/bodywork, engine compartment or function test. Our goal is to have two judges working as a team for each category in a class. There will be an experienced head judge for each class to help you with questions. Each team of judges will judge that category for all cars in the class so all cars in the class are judged the same. And so long as the team is consistent with their judging in their class, all cars are judged equally.
Judging is timed to ensure all cars get equal time and to keep the judges moving. Please do not interrupt the judges and answer any questions they may ask you briefly and to the point. All cars will remain on the grid until all judging is completed and released by the event chair.
Classification Guidelines
Classes within a car type are generally related to the number of modifications. Although we expect most people to properly class their cars, the class judges will have the authority to re-classify a mis-classed vehicle. The following are this concours’s classification guidelines:
Tiger Stock Class: Relating to how the cars were produced, changes from this will result in point deductions to your score. The standard LAT options are not considered changes. The list of standard LAT options is available with the judging sheets for your information. It is to your benefit that you review the judging sheet listing the automatic deductions for this class. The judging sheet is available at the Registration desk. Be prepared. Wheel size: diameter- 13”, width - 5 1/2” or less.
Tiger Personalized Class: Intended for owners who have retained the basic identity of their Tiger but have made changes to suit their own tastes. Tigers should not have altered body panels beyond what was available as a LAT option (i.e. fender flares and hood). Any radical change to basic “stock” look will put you into the next class. Wheel size: Diameter - 14” thru 15”, Width - greater than 5 ½”.
Tiger Modified Class: Intended for owners who have substantially altered the appearance of their Tiger for looks and/or performance reasons. Extensive modified suspension, running gear and body panels qualifies your car to be in this class. Wheel size: Diameter – Greater than15”, Width – unlimited
Wheel Size
Note that wheel Size alone can dictate your class; the following list are the DEFAULT classes for maximum wheel sizes.
- Stock: 13” diameter only
- Personalized: 14”, 15” width unlimited
- Modified: 16” diameter or larger
For example, a basically stock prepared Tiger rolling on 14” wheels (regardless of width) will be put in the personalized class. While a modified Tiger can roll on any diameter or rim width, any car on 16” or larger diameter wheels will be in the modified class by default
To help you to check/choose your classification, the following list is a guideline to assist you in selecting the appropriate modifications that apply to your Tiger. Note that LAT options are not counted as modifications.

Once again, please review the classification rules carefully. The event chairs have the right to re-classify your car if they believe it is incorrectly classified. However, we will generally leave it to your discretion for classification. If the event judges determine that your car was inappropriately classed (not minor variations), they will eliminate the car from judging and trophy the next appropriately classed car. The TAC guidelines will be used to determine the authenticity of cars judged in this concours.
